Be cautious combining psychedelic doses of LSD or mushrooms with cannabis. There is increased risk of anxiety, paranoia and panic attacks.

Serotonin Syndrome Warning!

If you take St. John’s wort, SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, or any other antidepressants, as well as triptans migraine medications, ingesting LSD or mushrooms can result in high levels of serotonin in your body. This can potentially result in a condition called serotonin syndrome. This is a rare effect, but it is good to be aware. Sympotoms can include muscle spasms, tremors, shivering, nausea, tinnitus. Severe symptoms can include unconsciousness. If you experience these symptoms, contact a medical professional.

Lithium warning!

If you take lithium, it is best not to use LSD, mushrooms or other psychedelics. This is a dangerous combination! Lithium and psychedelics taken together can cause seizures, tremors, heart damage, delirium, and other unpredicatble negative effects.

PSILOCYBIN DOSING GUIDE

Psilocybin and LSD are non-toxic. Like cannabis, it is effectively impossible to die from a psilocybin or LSD overdose.

Because psilocybin and LSD interact with the serotonin system, you should exercise caution when combining psilocybin with other serotonergic substances.

These dosages below are a general guide, and can vary by body weight and personal psychology.

• MICRODOSE: At microdose levels between 75mg and 200mg, psilocybin will produce very little or no noticeable psychedelic effect. At these low doses, there will usually be feelings of reduced anxiety, peacefulness, and increased human connection. A microdosing regime usually involves taking a dose every three days, or twice a week. For more information on microdosing schedules, visit the Protocols page.

• MID-LEVEL: A mid-level dose between 500mg and 800mg will typically produce noticeable psychedelic effects but low-intensity and manageable. If you are planning to do a high-level dose for the first time and are feeling nervous, you can consider taking a mid-level dose first to get acclimated to the experience.

• HIGH-LEVEL: A high-level dose between 1000mg and 2000mg (1-2 grams) will usually produce a strong psychedelic breakthrough effect and is the best range for psychedelic therapy purposes. Users often report feelings of love and forgiveness, personal epiphanies, insights, increased creativity, intense emotions, spirituality and sensuality, There can also be visual distortions, increased enjoyment of music, geometric patterns and hallucinations with eyes closed.

Negative effects from a high dose can sometimes include increased anxiety, emotional sensitivity, disordered thinking, dry mouth, impaired judgment, visual hallucinations. If you experience these things, it’s usually best to remain calm, change your focus, and know that the experience will pass.

• VERY HIGH: Doses over 3000mg (3 grams) will produce intense psychedelic effects along with a higher potential for negative experiences and feelings of fear and anxiety, without increased therapeutic benefit.

LSD DOSING GUIDE

Psilocybin and LSD are non-toxic. Like cannabis, it is effectively impossible to die from a psilocybin or LSD overdose.

Because psilocybin and LSD interact with the serotonin system, you should exercise caution when combining psilocybin with other serotonergic substances.

These dosages below are a general guide, and can vary by body weight and personal psychology. LSD doses are given in “micrograms” which is written as “µg”.

• MICRODOSE: At microdose levels between 8µg and 16µg, LSD will produce very little or no noticeable psychedelic effect. At these low doses, there will usually be feelings of increased motivation, creativity, reduced anxiety, calmness, awareness. A microdosing regime usually involves taking a dose every three days, or twice a week. For more information on microdosing schedules, visit the Protocols page.

• MID-LEVEL: A mid-level dose between 40µg and 64µg will typically produce noticeable psychedelic effects but low-intensity and manageable. If you are planning to do a high-level dose for the first time and are feeling nervous, you can consider taking a mid-level dose first to get acclimated to the experience.

• HIGH-LEVEL: A high-level dose between 100µg and 160µg will produce a strong psychedelic breakthrough effect and is the best range for psychedelic therapy purposes. Users often report feelings of reduced fear, reduced anxiety, personal epiphanies, insights, increased creativity. There can also be visual distortions, increased enjoyment of music, geometric patterns and hallucinations with eyes closed.

Negative effects from a high dose can sometimes include increased anxiety, emotional sensitivity, disordered thinking, dry mouth, impaired judgment, visual hallucinations. If you experience these things, it’s usually best to remain calm, change your focus, and know that the experience will pass.

• VERY HIGH: Doses over 300µg will produce intense psychedelic effects along with a higher potential for negative experiences and feelings of fear and anxiety, without increased therapeutic benefit.

GENERAL PSYCHEDELIC-LEVEL USER GUIDE FOR BOTH LSD AND PSILOCYBIN

DON’T TAKE ALONE: When taking psychedelic doses of either LSD or mushrooms for therapeutic purposes, it is best to have a trusted person with you. This person’s role is to be reassuring, to help you feel safe, and to offer guidance or feedback if needed. Do not take a psychedelic mushroom dose on your own.

DON’T TAKE IN A BAD MOOD: If you are in a deep depressive state or crisis point, do not take a psychedelic dose at that time.

BE SAFE AND COMFORTABLE: If you are taking a psychedelic level dose for the first time, do it at a place and time where you will be safe and comfortable. You may be psychologically and physically vulnerable during your experience.

ONE HOUR TO COME ON: You can expect the experience to begin within an hour of ingesting mushrooms or LSD. If you take them on a full stomach the effects can take longer to come on.

PEAK EXPERIENCE: The experience with both substances will peak at around 3 hours after dosing. With mushrooms the peak experience will last around 60 to 90 minutes. With LSD the peak experience will last around four hours.

TIMEFRAMES: Mushrooms have a shorter duration to their effects than LSD. The time from taking  mushrooms to when the effects have mostly worn off will be about 6 hours. LSD lasts longer than mushrooms, with time from dosing to the effects being mostly worn off being around 10 hours.

These time-frames are rough guides which can vary between people.

Psilocybin mushrooms and LSD are non-toxic. You will not be physically harmed even by very large doses. The effects are psychological.

RECOMMENDED DOSE RANGE: For most people, doses over 3000mg (3 grams) or mushrooms or over 300µg LSD are more likely to produce fear and negative emotions, without increased therapeutic benefit. Doses in the range of one to two grams of mushrooms, or 100-200µg of LSD, are usually best for psychedelic therapeutic purposes.

DOSE LEVEL: The best dose level can be affected by body weight and personal psychology. For a first-timer who is nervous about the experience, it can sometimes be best to start with a mid-level dose and then try a higher-level dose the next time if desired.

SPACE OUT DOSES: It is best to separate your high-level doses by at least two weeks or more. This allows some time to integrate the experience.
