HELLO! I’M DANA LARSEN, FOUNDER OF THE MEDICINAL MUSHROOM DISPENSARY.
I STARTED THIS ONLINE SHOP AND STOREFRONT IN 2019 BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE BENEFITS OF PSYCHEDELICS AND I WANT TO CHALLENGE CANADA’S FAILED DRUG PROHIBITION LAWS.
I have been working as an activist for cannabis and drug policy reform for all of my adult life.
Among other projects, I was the editor of Cannabis Culture Magazine for from 1994-2004; I helped create the BC Marijuana Party in 2001; I founded the Vancouver Seed Bank in 2006; I founded The Medicinal Cannabis Dispensary in 2008; I ran for the leadership of the BC NDP in 2011; I ran the Sensible BC campaign for a cannabis referendum in 2013; I was an organizer and spokesperson for Vancouver’s incredible 420 Protestival; and I gave away over 10 million free cannabis seeds with the Overgrow Canada campaign from 2016-2019.
Following our victory in ending cannabis prohibition in Canada, I am now following the same path with the Medicinal Mushroom Dispensary – working to directly challenge the law by bringing the healing power of psilocybin and other psychedelics to all Canadians who need them!
Through our two storefronts and our online shop we carry many varieties of psychedelic mushrooms, but we also provide access to LSD and DMT, plus beneficial medicine plants including kratom, peyote, ayahuasca and coca leaf.
There are no other stores in the world offering all the products that we do. We are completerly unique! But I hope we can inspire other Canadians to follow our example and provide safe psychedelics and medicine plants in their own communities.
Our shops in Vancouver also carry a great selection of books, posters, tapestries and trippy framed artwork.
Plus, our East Hastings location is part of the Coca Leaf Cafe, a special place where we serve invigorating hot and cold beverages made with true Peruvian coca leaf. We also have great sandwiches!
Our dispensary is a proud sponsor of Get Your Drugs Tested, a free community drug-checking service that I created in 2019. It has quickly grown into the world’s busiest free street drug analysis service – completely funded by our cannabis and mushroom dispensary sales! We are an activist organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of psychedelics and ending the drug war. I have dedicated my life to replacing drug war and prohibition with drug peace and a legal, safe supply.
