Here is some guidance and advice on how to use higher doses of psilocybin mushrooms for therapeutic purposes.

We only provide high-dose mushroom products to members who have registered as medical users. All of our products are made with the Golden Teacher strain of Psilocybe Cubensis mushrooms.

STAYING SAFE

Do not drive, swim, climb or hike during a mushroom trip. Don’t do anything risky.

Do not combine mushrooms with alcohol. This can produce extreme nausea.

Do not combine mushrooms with other drugs.

If you are a medicinal cannabis user, you can combine mushrooms with cannabis if desired. We recommend minimizing cannabis use while on mushrooms if possible.

You will be psychologically and physically vulnerable during a mushroom trip.

If you are taking a psychedelic level mushroom dose for the first time, do it at a place and time where you will be safe and comfortable.

For your first experiences, it is best to have a trusted person with you who is not taking mushrooms. This person’s role is to be reassuring, to help you feel safe, and to offer guidance or feedback if needed. Do not take mushrooms in the company of anyone you don’t feel comfortable around.

Do not take a psychedelic mushroom dose on your own.

If you are in a deep depressive state or crisis point, do not take a psychedelic level dose of mushrooms at that time.

Psilocybin mushrooms are non-toxic. You are very unlikely to be physically harmed even by very large doses. The effects are mainly psychological. If you feel uncomfortable, do not panic. The feelings will pass.

Mushrooms can sometimes cause temporary feelings of nausea. If you feel nauseous or uncomfortable, it is best to stay calm, relax and let the moment pass. You will feel better soon.

DOSE LEVEL

Usually the best psychedelic-level experience will be found between 1000mg and 2500mg.

The best dose level can be affected by bodyweight and personal psychology. For your first experience, it is usually better to start with a dose of 1000mg or less, and then try a higher-level dose (1500mg – 2000mg) the next time if desired.

If you find you have a good experience at a certain dose level, it is not necessary to try higher doses.

For most people, doses over 3000mg are more likely to produce fear and negative emotions, without increased therapeutic benefit. We don’t recommend doses over 3000mg.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During a psychedelic mushroom experience you may experience strong feelings of connection, forgiveness, openness, and personal insights. Some people will feel sexual or aroused. There will be visual and auditory distortions. Sensual experiences like music, touch and visual art can become more compelling. Appetite is usually diminished. You may feel inspired towards artistic creation or play.

You can expect the experience to begin within an hour of ingesting mushrooms. The experience will peak at around 2-3 hours after dosing, and then continue in a reduced manner for another 3-4 hours. The whole experience from ingesting mushrooms to coming down from the trip will be around 5-6 hours.

It is best to separate your high-level dose experiences by at least one or two weeks. This allows some time to integrate the experience.

Do not expect your life to become perfect after taking mushrooms. The psychedelic experience can be healing and beneficial, but it is part of a process and not a single event that solves all problems. Go into the experience with an open mind.

COMBINING MICRODOSING AND PSYCHEDELIC REGIMENS

You can combine high-potency doses with a microdose regimen for therapeutic purposes. Just wait 2-3 days after the trip dose before taking another microdose.

Combining a microdose regiment with the larger doses can be therapeutically beneficial. The microdoses can help to reinforce the lessons and benefits experienced from the larger doses, and integrate them into daily life.

If you are microdosing and want to do psychedelic dosing as well, then we recommend taking two weeks minimum between psychedelic doses.

A suggested 12 week cycle of microdosing and psychedelic dosing is below. This is just a suggested schedule and you should feel free to adjust this according to your personal experience.

Over the first three weeks the microdose is steadily increased for you to find the right microdose level for you, probably that will be between 100mg and 150mg.

In week four you will try a low psychedelic dose of 1000mg.

In week six you will try a mid-level psychedelic dose of 1,500mg, if you feel you want to try something stronger than the 1,000mg dose.

In week eight you will do another psychedelic dose. You could stick with the 1,500mg dose, or go up to 2,000mg if desired.

After eight weeks you can continue in this manner, microdosing twice a week, with one psychedelic dose every two weeks, adjusting dosages as you learn what works for you from experience.

After 12 weeks you will have had five psychedelic experiences. We recommend taking a 1-2 weeks break away from psilocybin at this point to recalibrate and see how you feel. You could then continue with microdosing and possibly psychedelic therapy if you choose. A break is not mandatory but it is recommended.
